So worried about this - just wondered if anyone else had any experience of this..
For many years I have had some brown spotting a few days before my period started. Had lots of investigations done (for infertiliy) but no cause was ever found. Since had a DS and DD, first one through IVF and the second naturally. Never gave this spotting much thought and just accepted it. In the last couple of months though, the spotting has turned red (sorry if this is TMI). No other change. Went to see the GP who basically didn't really know and so I was referred to consultant. Saw consultant today who has reccommended a scan, which I am having on Friday.

Just don't know what to think - looked it up on Google and am now really scared - frightened I have cancer. Wish I could speak to my mum but she died 5 years ago of cancer (not gyn cancer)

So worried

Okay, well you know what it could be but you probably don't know all the things it could also be - for example cervical abnormalities not related to cancer, fluctuating hormones related to other problems like thyroid/endometriosis etc. A cyst etc.

Please don't spend the next four days worrying constantly. It's not going to help you. You should really try not to meet trouble halfway - the scan will show up anything serious but some women do have unexplained bleeding without any underlying disease.
