when I go to the loo (bowel movement), there is bright red blood

so, bowel cancer or just too much, ahem, bumsex?

Yes, see your GP.

Bleeding can be absolutely benign (probably is), but it might not be.

Only way to be certain is to put a camera up there.

I hope it's nothing.

Or piles. Or a fissure. Bumsex unlikely to be helping, yes see GP.

You definatly need to speak to the gp, you don't need to mention the bumsex though.

I'd see GP, even just so that they can give you some bum sex tips to reduce bleeding.

In general, bowel cancer manifests in dark brown blood when you go to the loo. That said, you should still see your GP to get yourself checked out. Chances are that you have piles or something that can be treated easily, but do make an appt. as soon as you can.

Discontinue bum sex until you know what you're dealing with though!

You could suspend bumsex activities and see if the bleeding goes away. Just a thought...

Do mention the bumsex to the GP as they'll be able to look for signs of trauma. You probably have a deep fissure. it wasn't desinged for that

why do people (ie mixed couples) do bumsex at all? (innocent question. I just don't see the attraction)

I do know what you mean, I used to feel exactly the same way. An ex of mine years ago suggested it and I dumped him shortly thereafter. It was a total no go because it was just unappealing. Cue DH years later making the same overtures and my feelings for him were so different and there was such a different sense of trust, I agreed to try. we talked about it in a calm way beforehand, not in the throes of sex, IYSWIM and then we went together and bought some KY Jelly, so it was kind of thought through. It actually felt a tad exciting, a bit like having an affair must feel, illicit, off limits. anyway, we got round to it and i was a bit but it is an erogenous zone, you know and then it all got to be good fun. Like an added extra. Sex is like a munu and we have added a new menu item, does not replace the old faves, but is a nice to have.
