last night, i have been feeling sick, and today i have a lovely new sore throat, feel weaker and shaking like a gud un.

is it a new bug i wonder.

dd has also had sf, and she woke last night feeling sick. we only got out of the house monday to quickly visit the supermarket.

feel so weak and totally frustrated with this. dd is 8 and has been off for two weeks, tho has been in twice on 'better' days.

I was like that with my swine flu in 2009
it took me 7 weeks to get better :(
have you taken tamiflu?

piratecat · 05/02/2011 13:05

ahh, hello. no wasn't offered it.

sorry you had such a rough time. the sick feeling has gone now, just not myself yet. exhausted by the simplest things.

if it was real flu, 2 weeks i nothing.

DH is 6 weeks on his from his swine flu that put him in bed for a week, and he is still exhausted and lacking any appetite.

Just try to rest up when you can.

kayah · 05/02/2011 16:34

I agree - real flu makes you unwell for weeks

someone said here - is so bad you wouldn't bend to pick up £50 off the floor :)

Hardandsleazy · 05/02/2011 16:39

No- I agree with others who say it takes weeks to get over. A mate at work had it and over did it and came back down with it again about 5 weeks later

purepurple · 05/02/2011 16:50

I had flu in november, don't know if it was swine flu or not, though i did have the upset stomach that seems to go with swine flu. It took me 8 weeks to get better. I would be alright one day and feel like i had been hit by a bus the next. I had sore throats, headahces, just felt ill, had more bad days than good. I even googled the symptoms of ME.

eaglewings · 05/02/2011 17:01

Friend had similar symptoms and also a constant cough and it turned out the swine flu had brought on asthma. She is now better than ever once it was diagnosed

Sassybeast · 05/02/2011 21:16

Am about 6 weeks down the line now and still having days when i feel GRIM. it's about all i can do to get to work, have had really bad shakes and my appetite is still not great. i've lost about a stone in weight though so i think it's a bit of a viscious circle. I've also just had acourse of antibiotics for an ear infection - GPs i work with are seeing loads of people with secondary infections following flu.

piratecat · 06/02/2011 17:23

gosh you poor lot Sad

I have never been so ill. Have googled too about the ME, daft but when you feel this knocked down it's hard to believe.

I drove today, me and dd had a cuppa tea out, and after about half an hour we came home again.

People have said to be careful not to overdo it.
