I'm sure plenty of posters will roll up with great remedies. Personally I get really heavy colds and most 'remedies' i.e. lemsip just don't cut it.

Having said that Otrivine nasal spray is brilliant for congestion and ultra-chloraseptic is good for sore throats. If you get chesty a steam bowl of vaporub can bring some relief. Oh and a couple of brandies Wink

Get well soon!

Whisky Mac - equal amounts of whisky and ginger wine. After a while you won't care about the cold any more.

Well, the best remedy is to stay in bed, tbh, so your body can focus on fighting the virus.

Chicken soup (made out of the meat, not just carcass) with lots of pepper.

Onion syrup (alternate slices of onion with sugar, cover and let stand for few hours, then have few spoonfuls few times a day)

Lime tree tea-good for sweating- best if you can stay in bed under the duvet.

Saline spray for the blocked nose.

It will last 7 days no matter what you do, though.

I've had such a sore throat with mine that I have been unable to eat but what has been brilliant for me is smoothies - I have had for my breakfast today:

1 banana
1 apple
Handful of Blueberries
5 strawberries
1 orange
A cup of milk
A cup of ice

All blended up - I am sure that this must be beneficial, all those vitamins and the ice in it has been really soothing on my throat.

Plus really yummy

Another thing I swear by is vicks rubbed all over my neck, chest and back. Really helps me sleep at night.

Hope you get well soon

Smile
