Since summer I've not been well, it started with a cold that turned into a cough that lasted for 3 months and made me very run down.

Since then it's been one virally type thing after another each time knocking me for 6, high temp, sore throat, cold, aches and pains nausea. time after time. My sleep is terrible I rarely get more than 4 or 5 hours on a good night. The latest thing is horrible crops of mouth ulcers all over my tongue that fade then come back again at the slightest sign of stress or rundowness.

I used to never be off sick now it's twice since october Sad. Ds started nursery last October (he's 16m) and i know from when dd (4) started that a certain amount of lurgies are to be expected but i've never felt so exhausted, run down and fed up.

I'm either working (3 days stressful job) or looking after dcs (ds lovely but v v demanding and hard work). The Christmas "holidays" were horrific, it was non stop and I felt like we never ever got any kind of respite, it was non stop.

I just want to have energy and enthusiasm for things again rather than dragging myself about. Have cut right back on wine Blush eat healthily, exercise gym 3x a week and try to go to bed early.

Am at a loss for what to do, GP dismissive so wondered if there was any more "natural" route to take.

Could you try to do some outdoor exercise instead of the gym?

I read recently that 30 minutes outside 5 times a week is helpful for preventing winter colds etc.

I certainly don't manage 5x a week, but since I've been running once or twice a week outside I haven't (cross fingers) come down with a cold (two winters now).

Sounds like your sleep is an issue too - why do you sleep so little? I aim to be in bed for 10-ish so that even if I don't fall asleep for an hour I will still get a full night's sleep.

Hope you get better soon.
