thought I had a prob with contact lens this morning but settled down. took lens out and same problems - sharp pain like something stuck in eye, eye doesn't want to open, watering like crazy. ouch

if no better tomorrow do I see GP or optician?

i would see an optician

I'd pop into the opticians, they'll take a look, and tell you if you need to go to the gp or wherever. They are always v helpful, and can often do more than the gp

who do you get your contacts from? Go and see them. An optician has much better equipment for examining the front surface of your eye than a gp.
Dont wear your lenses until the appointment and use comfort drops reguarly if you have any.
Sounds like you have a small abrasion on your cornea, which will heal quickly as long as you leave the lenses out for a few days.

yup optician!

sounds to me like you may have popped in a lens with a nick in it and maybe scratched your eye.

leave out your lenses, take them with you and see if they can squeeze you in for a quick looksee tomorrow.
