A mates girlfriend had something similar.

She had bit her nails too far & then gone to work & Mcds & got oil & salt in it & it blew up like that Confused

She came round to my house almost crying & refusing to get it checked. Don't know what she expected ME to be able to do?

Anyway, I cleaned it up & covered it in savlon then put gauze on to try & protect it a bit, & told her if she didn't go to A&E immediately it would prob fall off (may have been a bit overdramatic there)

Anyway she got it sorted but it was horrible to look at til the antibiotics kicked in. She still bites her nails though (ugh) managed to put me off biting my nails though so that has to be a good thing Grin

that fingers looked horrific last night, i am assuming its the same one.

its a nasty infection.

What have hospital said? i am guessing he isn't still there?

yes its on fb too ,as far as i know hes still in bradford royal infimary,hes a gardener too so he picked and bit it and its got worse [boak]

I can't believe you're a GM twice already ilovessprouts when you're younger than me! Congratulations,they are gorgeous!
As for the fingers they look so painful.
Reminds me a little of that terrible youtube video of a man with a cyst on his back as it's squeezed!! I'd post the link but you really dont want to see it!

i think i have seen that clip Welsh, you are right it is seriously minging.

It must have been bad if he is still at the hospital today from last night.

I hope the treatment isn't anything too drastic

Oh sprouts that is pretty grim.

I did think that it was quite a severe infection and that it may be an option.

I hope that it hasn't come to that though, especially given his line of work.

Oh my good God. That's horrific. Shock I'll bet he's on one massive dose of anti-biotics. How would you let it get that bad before you went to the docs? Confused
