Single Jabs - need recommendations please in Kent/London/Surrey

Hello

Hoping someone can recommend to me a reliable company as I have been let down twice by private clinics. I'm not anti MMR but I made the decision to vaccinate my kids via the single jabs. My own personal choice which I think parents have the right to choose. However the government don't make it easy for that choice and probably quite like it when private clinics go into liquidation.

I live in North Kent and first used Direct Health 2000 based in Eltham. Luckily I paid on credit card so when they went bust I got all my money back. Eldest son is just awaiting Mumps but will worry more about that when he is around 8. I have twins (boy and girl) and I used Choice Healthcare for eldest son's boosters and twins' Measles. They appear to have gone bust (owing me money but it's under £100 so don't think the credit card company will refund). I also think they knew they were going bust when I paid the deposit but I have no way of proving that.

So (in a long winded way!!) I need to get the twins vaccinated with Rubella and then further down the line their boosters (and mumps if that ever materialises!).

I have come across Surrey GP in Guildford and City Doc in Moorgate and Harley Street. Has anyone used them before? Any recommendations would be helpful. In the Kent, London or Surrey area.

Many thanks in advance.

Hi Tasha. I am sorry that I can't help you but am interested in this thread as we used Choice Healthcare in Harley Street for both our children and we had no idea that they had gone bust. I have been trying to contact them for weeks to confirm that our little girl is on their waiting list for the single mumps jab when it comes in so I won't bother now !! She will need her boosters next year though and we are in Kent so will follow this thread to see if their are any recommendations. Would be really grateful if you could post if you find anywhere. Many Thanks

Hi there,

I've just made an appointment for an initial consultation at baby jabs. www.babyjabs.co.uk/index.htm My son is now 9 weeks, he's just had the Pneumococcal shot, and we have decide to break up the (DTaP/IPV/Hib.

It's so tricky though, but I am pleased to say that our Health Visitor and doctor were both supportive. I think they were just happy that he was being vaccinated either way. Different story if I had of told them he wasn't! Which is something that we've toyed with.

Also worth looking into is homeopathic and vitamin support for little ones immune system pre & post vaccination day.

Hi,

I've used the SurreyGP for both the measles and rubella vaccine for my son. She was very professional and great with my son.

Hope this helps?

Hello
Sorry haven't been here for ages and was thinking about jabs again so came to see if anyone had answered. Thanks for the advice re Baby jabs and also reassurance about Surrey GP. Will give them both a call. And once I get it sorted I'll post my recommendation so that Charliebean can see! I've really got to get it sorted.
Thanks again.

Hi Tash,

Did you do the jabs already? I too would like to know about the Surrey GP and Babyjabs.
