Can anyone give me any advice please especially as to if this is possible to develop it in your late 30's?

I am ringing the OOH doctors at 12 to see if I can see anyone.

some info here:

thyroid.about.com/b/2004/04/28/do-you-have-undiagnosed-hypoglycemia.htm

Basically, refined sugar and starch is bad (Sugar, sweet drinks, white flour, cake, pasta) and the wholegrain (unrefined stuff) is GOOD (brown bread, brown rice, wholewheat past, oats (porridge) are VERY good, even baked potatoes)

The mistake is to think ALL carbs are bad.

Thank you for that. I will take a look.

I had porridge for breakfast and really enjoyed it.

I don't eat anything that isn't natural, so nothing with sugar/salt added but I have decided to introduce brown bread again as well as some wholewheat pasta next time I go to the shop.

Thanks again.

Good luck! It is not a disease or anything wrong with you, you just have to make sure you don't go too long without (wholegrain) carbs. I find 3 or 4 hrs is the maximum.

I carry some oat cakes etc. in my handbag most days.

The nurse was wrong. I have gastroitis. GP said definitely nothing to do with my diet.
