Occasional hot flushes, extreme fatigue at least once a day (all energy drains away and I feel wobbly and shaky), lasts half an hour to an hour, can't seem to lose weight, craving carbs... I daren't google and will be seeing the doc next week but thought I'd canvas some opinion first just incase I'm just be a hypochodriacal lazy mare!

I'm no medical expert but perhaps it could be thyroid realted?

How old are you and how regular are your periods?

Pheebe · 29/01/2011 20:50

thyroid would be my guess as well.

I'm going to go with perimenopausal then. Difficulty losing weight is common though - have you tried exercise?

Do the wobbles correlate to distance between mealtimes? Are you eating protein with carbs at every meal? Have you had a diabetes check recently?

Pheebe · 29/01/2011 21:48

whomoved that would be a kick in the teeth, thought I;d have another few years before that kicked in. Exercise, healthy eating etc yep, nothing works like it used to

DH suggested diabetes too but I haven't noticed any pattern wrt meals
