TOOTHBRUSHING - HELP!!

I have encouraged DS (3) to brush his teeth from an early age but he now thinks he knows how to do it and won't let me help. Result is that teeth are not brushed as thoroughly (tends to focus on the top front ones) as they could be. Does anyone have any tips for teaching him to brush them properly or to let me do them for him without causing distress??

I just say now its my turn! We kind of hit a miss a few days then I give them a good go.
Maybe disclosing tablets or is 3 too young?

bit young for disclosing tablets in case of swallowing. we have brush mummy/daddys teeth first then swap over or while they are brushing yours brush theres watch the sugar/citric intake and fizzy drinks get him to look in the mirror and play games 'open as wide as a lion/crocodile' then brush the back ones etc... i always have a few brushes round the house and just do it whenever while playing etc

Tell him you can see a gribbley germ on his back teeth, and you have to squash it with the toothbrush. Make4 a big song and dance about catching it too!

2 and 3 year olds think this is so funny. Surprisingly, You will get sick of it in no time!

You can get disclosing liquid if tablets dont suit.
