sore cervix :-)

Ok ladies, I had sex last week with DP all ok, must of been a little rough as had sore cervix following day. You know that feeling you have after a smear.

A week on and it is still hurting. I know u will say go to the GP, but how long do you think I should give it.

I had the same problem back in December so I sympathise! I was getting a very sharp pain inside that felt like DP's penis was rubbing away my insides!! I was convinced I must have had a giant tear inside and on top of that, him entering me was causing me a great amount of pain as well. It was agony :(.

Went to my GP who examined me and said I had a tiny red mark inside, my cervix was fine. She likened it to having a mouth ulcer, something really tiny but hurts so much! She also said that as a result of the pain I had probably developed vaginismus, where you anticipate pain during sex and so your body tightens up and hey presto, you experience pain during sex. Her advice was lots of lube, take it slowly and relax. Two weeks later I was completely fine Grin.

It's definitely worth getting it checked out, especially if you are bleeding after sex, which I was. She took some swabs as well to make sure I didn't have an infection that could be causing my pain, my results came back clear.

Get yourself down the GPs so you can start enjoying sex again! :).

Karia thank you so much for the reply. it is such a worry, and it isn't really something you want to flop out at the GP. Will make an appointment today. :-)

I know what you mean, and when it hurts already the last thing you want is an internal examination!

Hi ya Karia

Don't know if you will come back to my thread or not but needed to tell someone what is going on in my head.

Finally went to the docotrs today, I know should of gone 2 weeks ago, she was very kind and had a look and is passing me on to the hospital.

i am now terrified it is something serious. :-( Fingers crossed I get the appointment soon.
