First immunisations for 8 week baby

Apologies if this has been asked recently but my DH is 7 weeks old on Thursday and looking through the info given to me by the HV it appears she should be having immunisations at week 8.

I have not been contacted about this and am unsure if it should be me calling my doctors surgery and making an appointment. Would I make an appointment with the nurse? Anyone done this recently and know how it works?

thanks

Hi

I recieved a yellow slip through the post inviting me to bring my DD to the HV for her jabs. She's 8 weeks, I think I got it about 10 days or so ago. It came out automatically with no prompting from me, but I would call your GP/HV and check the procedure is the same for your area.

We are going this evening, I'll cry more than her probably!

Hope that helps

I was sent a letter with an appointment time. At ours they have a clinic where the nurses do the injections.

It says 8wks in the info but you may well find that the first appointment is actually for a week or two later.

Mine came through in a letter from the GP with date and time for a nurse appointment on it. He was about 9.5 weeks though. Although its commonly called the 8 week imms, they are advised to give them any time between 8 and 12 weeks.
