nits - chemist closed!

What can I do for my dd(14)? I've just spent two hours combing her locks... and none of the local chemists are open now to buy some nit-cream. She is armed with a jar of mayo and her shower cap. I'm at work all day tomorrow (no chemist in the village to pop down to) so it will be another day of growing for the little buggers. Help Confused.

Is there not a big supermarket near you? When I was that age (a little while ago now but not that long) my mum gave up using all the stuff and just used a comb with wet hair and conditioner every night for two weeks, not fun but did the job

Have you got any conditioner? A cat flea comb or nit comb and loads of conditioner should shift them.

If you keep doing it every three days for about 10-14 days you should get rid.

I think you can get some kind of nit stuff in the supermarket.

it took 2 weeks of combing to get rid of dd's,got a nitty gritty comb in the end - highly recommened

thanks for being so quick! I'll check the local supermarket - even if it's just for supplies of slippery conditioner. The chemist within the store closed at 8. We've got two combs and have used them. We will just have to keep going.
