we got a wii for christmas.
ostensibly to help dd1 with OT issues, but since it was there, we got the wii fit plus stuff too (might as well get in on the act!)
we got a bundle that came with sports resort too.
so:
sports (comes with the wii): quite good. tennis is a good 2 player game, dh and I play htis quite a lot. lvel of exercise depends on what you put into it - you can just waft your hand and play that way, or you can leap around and get into it (depends on competitiveness, I guess
)
sports resort: again, a mix of sports stuff. the duelling is quite good fun on this - again can be very energetic if you put the effort in (my sporty 19 yr old stepson wore himeself out doign this!)
I have been doing the wii fit side of things fairly regularly. it is quite good - at least it hets me up and active.
you build a profile, and every day can do a short test to test your reactions/balance etc. this then builds up your "fitness age"
the exercises are divided into categories: muscle workouts, aerobic, balance, yoga, hmm can't remeber the others.
it guides you through eveything on screen.
I haven't bothered with yoga or muscle workouts much (I am very unfit).
have done quite a lot of balance stuff, and aerobic. aerobic is stuff like step classes, or boxercise things, jogging etc. the balance games are quite fun - anything for m downhill skiing to dropping balls through holes on a wobble board type thing, walking the tightrope etc.
it's quite good fun, and gets you active.
so far I feel as though I have done more exercise when playing the sports games than when doing wii fit, but hten as said above, I haven't really done the muscle workout stuff. the step class bit is ok, and does get you moving.
