Hi everyone, I just stumbled across this site after a google search.
My apologies for asking for advice on my first ever post but I hope someone could offer me some advice.
A few years ago I started getting a pain in my left ovary area, not corresponding to periods or anything like that. The pain itself I can only describe as a pinching feeling from the inside. Well the pain seemed to come and go, often only last a few days at a time. I never saw a doctor about it because there was always a long wait and the pain had always gone before an appointment was avaliable.
To cut a long story short Ive not had this pain for a long time, probably 6 months or so but a few days ago it started again and it is more constant than before, and when pressing down on both sides I can tell something doesn't feel right on the left side, its hard to describe but I can almost move something back and forth between my fingers. Feels a bit like a lump or that something is inflamed. I would say that my left side looks very very slightly swollen but that could be my imagination.
Well obviously Im quiet concerned about this and as per ususal theres a long wait to get an appointment, have to wait until later next week, so there is the possibility the pain and 'swelling' could go by then and I may look silly. However I am more concerned about this than before so I think I should probably go see a doctor anyway but Im wondering if anyone has any advice on what this could be or how to stop the horrible pain.
I have read that there is the possibility of a cyst or endometriosis although from reading the symptoms PCOS could be a possibility.
I have to admit Im actually more worried about going to the doctors and them telling me Im fine, than them telling me I have something wrong.
