Hi im now 21 weeks pregnant and due to have the flu jab on monday but am still seriously undecided as to the safety of it for the unborn baby! What does everyone think and have you had it done?

I got swine flu last year when I was 36 weeks pregnant. I was offered the jab but was scared of the risk to baby so refused. I was really ill and ended up in hospital. It was extremely painful and I was really ill so think I would sway more to having it but I would still be concerned.

I'm 17 weeks and have refused, its not been proven as safe for unborns, the side effects are unknown, so to me that was enough to refuse, my baby is too important. My mate who's a midwife agreed with me and said n the same situation she would refuse, and she did refuse sw jab last year.
