Swine flu-can you catch it again?

My dds had probable swine flu a year ago.The GP felt that it was most likely swine flu,but they weren't swabbed at the time. Now I am worried a)in case it wasn't swine flu,is that likely? and b)can they catch it again or will they have full immunity now? They are now 3 and just turned 6.

They should have immunity to the strain of flu that they had. Can't be sure that it was swine flu without swabs though. Sorry.

Apparantly the flu virus mutates so thats why they change the strains in the flu jab so its possible that yes i suppose you could.

Half my village has flu at the moment, seemingly,so it will be hard to avoid it.

Hmm-am wondering, can you be tested for swine flu antibodies? I had the flu at the same time as them,so if I could be tested, and I was positive, then I would know they'd had swine flu.
