do i need Anti biotics

Just getting over , flue , cough thing had all over xmas ans new year ..along with many others i now ..

left with green , flem stuff in morning , and feel chest wheez and rattle bit when breathing in ..

will it go on own or should i get some antibiotics ?

Because it is viral, I do not think anti B's will work.

The hosp said to me that they are only effective with bacterial but not viral.

I'd go see the GP and get him to listen to your chest - if you're rattling you may have a bacterial infection in your chest, secondary to the original fluey virus.

I'd see GP too, they are only ones who can check your chest. I've been twice during this cough/fluey thing (2 weeks) and haven't been made to feel time-wasting at all. Had a weeks anti-bios (was coughing greenish stuff) but still not much better.
