How long for vaccine to take effect?

Reception at GP surgery couldn't answer. Dd and I both asthmatic and haven't been notified of vaccination sessions. Surgery has run out and next session on 13th Jan (1 - 2pm on a Thurs - we're not all OAPs).

Dd has ASs on Jan 12th - is it worth rushing to see if we can get it privately or have we left it too late?

Off for driving practice with said 17yo now so may not pick up replies quickly.

Takes about 10-14 days for a response to develop.

Disappointing your surgery didn't contact you. If you can't get in to your GP then try Boots etc... I think it's around 12 quid.
