Dairy after V&D

Ds's just getting over a vomiting and diarrhoea bug. At the moment he's still at teh BRAT stage - bananas, rice, apples and toast.

How long do I need to keep him off dairy for?

You can intoduce it on the third day after his last bout of D or V. Personally, I always water down milk when giving it as a drink for a day or two.

That soon? I had a vague idea that it was a week or more!

I have my recovery plan straight from a doctor Pretty Candles. You don't give them too much dairy to start with, that is why I said I water down milk as a drink. Perhaps just a little milk in some cereal to start with, or a splash of milk in some mashed potato. Depending on how they go, I would imagine they wouldn't be back on a full dairy diet until maybe aweek after the illness.
