Ive already had surgery once but years ago and was putting off surgery again until absolutely necessary. However im now on antibiotics permanently for recurrent kidney infections caused by not emptying my bladder proporly.
My flow is quite slowand now have to push or bare down to empty it at all .
Just wondering if nyone has had similar as i`m now fed up with having constant kidney pain and bladder pain-any tips on emptying my bladder fully-will try anything as really dont want surgery as will involve hysterectomy too x

Have you been offered the TVT op? Not sure why you would need a hysterectomy to lift your bladder back in place.

There's a site called The Whole Woman or something like that - I think the woman who runs that suggests a position for complete emptying - it might be on hands and knees over a basin to totally change the angle. Not had to try it yet myself but it's on my list for the future if I start to get infections. Have you tried a position like that? The Whole Woman site (I think it's wholewoman.com) is aimed at women who want to avoid hysterectomy and manage prolapse long-term without surgery, so you might find it interesting.

Thanks Mardy mare-the site is fantastic !

I have uterine/bladder and rectal prolapse-not really much point in fixing 2/3rds if my uterus is coming down as well-could end up very poorly so have to have the who;e lot done and hysterctomy too . Tried to find a surgeoun who would do the repair only like last time but after having all the A and P explained to me i now realise i need it . Hate the thought of being infertile tho-even tho i have 4 dc !

If I were you I really would ask around, for a 2nd and 3rd opinion. They can hitch your uterus back up depending on how low it is.
If you have a hysterectomy there is the chance you could end up with a vault prolapse as the uterus does support the upper walls.
