Go to the GP. It's normal to have piles if you're a mum, but not for them to bleed. I don't know if you can put any cream on them if they bleed. You could put a cup of frozen peas in a small food bag, roll it into a sausage-shape in a teatowel or facecloth and sit on it or slip it into your knickers to try and ease them a little.

Fio2 · 28/09/2005 14:20

so do i

teeavee · 28/09/2005 14:22

Ooooooooooooooh - I fancy doing that frozen peas thing myself!
Piles are v common post-childbirth, I would go to GP and get some prescribed treatment. You should always have them checked if there's blood present.

suzywong · 28/09/2005 14:24

do you really fio? I don't

bundle · 28/09/2005 14:25

i do. but you know i have this theory that you either have:

stretch marks

or

piles

parp

oliveoil · 28/09/2005 14:25

I had both bundle, am I special?

marthamoo · 28/09/2005 14:25

Definitely go to your GP. Bleeding should always be checked out.

spacedonkey · 28/09/2005 14:26

I have stretchmarks and varicose veins.

But not piles.

marthamoo · 28/09/2005 14:26

I had both too, olive. Born lucky, that's me.

bundle · 28/09/2005 14:26

olive, you know the answer is Yes

oliveoil · 28/09/2005 14:27

piles have gone (I think, tend to avoid peering at that end), stretchmarks have faded nicely.

Would check with GP on bleeding Pomi.

marthamoo · 28/09/2005 14:28

I had stretchmarks, piles and varicose veins (not in my legs^). Ha! Can anyone top trump that? This is getting like that "I went to the shop and I bought..." game.

Fio2 · 28/09/2005 14:29

stretchmarks too

varicose veins on legs arent too bad, up arse quite horrendous just lately

thought I would share

Pomi · 28/09/2005 14:30

I have both as well. But i thought that the piles are related to constipation.

at least you can use preparation H or whatever on the bags under your eyes too - 2 for the price of one!

Pomi · 28/09/2005 14:32

Mine is not not burning or itching so there is no need of frozen peas.

suzywong · 28/09/2005 14:36

I don't have stretch marks

have jelly belly though and saggy tits

bundle · 28/09/2005 14:36

suzywong · 28/09/2005 14:38

or get the listeners to do a phone in, could you pitch it to Jenni Murray?

bundle · 28/09/2005 14:39
