bundle · 27/09/2005 16:57

you deserve the best, twig

fuzzywuzzy · 27/09/2005 16:58

Oh no this sounds suspiciously like whatever it is both dd's have. I have a horrible feeling it is creeping up on me too.

bundle · 27/09/2005 16:59

do we need a cordon? big blue crosses on people's front doors? and those masks japanese people wear whenever there's anything in the air..

suedonim · 27/09/2005 17:23

I asked about you on the thread you started about asthma, Twiglett, but you didn't reply! Hope you feel better soon.

tamum · 27/09/2005 17:27

Poor you Twiglett, I hope you feel better soon (or are already). Poor MI too, it's so awful when you're on your own.

katierocket · 27/09/2005 17:29

you've lost 8lbs?! well what the hell are you moaning about woman, Jeez, some people.

is it your birthday then?

aloha · 27/09/2005 17:30

Her obituary:

'She finally logged off'

Sorry you were ill. 8lbs is marvellous though, eh?
I once read an interview with a woman in the Warsaw ghetto, who was literally starving, but she still mentioned that she had very good legs at the time

katierocket · 27/09/2005 17:35

Not that I'm suggesting you're at deaths door or anything Twig but i was talkign to someone the other day about what you would have on your headstone (yes I know, a cheery subject).

I think Spike Milligans was hard to beat:

"See, I told you I was ill"

katierocket · 27/09/2005 18:09

that killed it then! (pardon the pun)

Dropinthe · 27/09/2005 18:10

I think I've come down with flu in the last 2 hours-my throat is hardy open anymore!

hunkermunker · 27/09/2005 18:49

I missed you. But you hate shouts with stars, so couldn't post what I wanted to - which was:

"+++++Twiglett+++++

Huggy hugs, mwah, mwah, haven't seen you on here lately and wondered if you were OK? Lots of love, salmon and backpacks, Hunker xxxxxxxxxxxxxx"

Get well soon Twiggers

(And DIT - sorry you're not well - honey and lemon and an early night )

charliecat · 27/09/2005 21:35

Can I ask what you were throwing up twiglett, sounds like when i had pluracy, it was water fluid i was throwing up.

SherlockLGJ · 27/09/2005 21:46

Bump to match her Birthday thread

Twiglett · 30/09/2005 09:07

I have now lost 13lbs
I am incapable of looking after my own children
I have been to docs 4 times and yesterday finally got antibiotics and steroid tablets (as well as a nebuliser because my peak flow has reduced 50%)
I can't stand it much longer

hunkermunker · 30/09/2005 09:11

Oh, Twiglett! Nooo!

I have missed you - had hoped you were getting better

I really hope the tablets help - c'mere and give me a hug, you marmitey knobbly creature you xxxxxx

Twiglett · 30/09/2005 09:56

luckily I have another fair bit to go till I'm my old wedding dress size

my mother whilst trying to sound sympathetic is so pathetically pleased at my weight loss she is giving me tips on how to start eating lightly when I'm better .. lead balloon anyone

I know the weight loss is fab, I'm really pleased with it but just concerned at how quickly it is happening .. still reckon that comes with eating f' all.

Janh · 30/09/2005 10:07

twiggy! I was composing a "where are you?" post in my head in the car yesterday! (But forgot to actually post it, obv )

What was it? You poor thing. Have a rare hug. XXX

Twiglett · 30/09/2005 11:57

I finally called the asthma UK helpline (after 3 times at docs) who said I need anitbiotics for chest infection because the inhalers won't get through all the gunk effectively, and also based on reduction in lung capacity I need steroid tablets .. why does it take a nurse on a free helpline to prescribe what one of 3 doctor's visits in 3 weeks didn't.

I am feeling much much brighter today though

motherinferior · 30/09/2005 12:06

Oh, good you're feeling better, poppet.

hunkermunker · 30/09/2005 12:07

Am very glad you're feeling better. I hope you're planning a high-calorie treat-fest for when you're feeling up to it to

Take pics of you scoffing to show your mother too

Marina · 30/09/2005 14:57

Glad you are both feeling better

suedonim · 30/09/2005 15:44

Glad you're receiving the proper treatment now, Twiglett and I hope you'll soon be feeling better. Ds2 has just had a similar thing, peak flow reduced by half etc and a non-stop flow of foul gunk from his chest. His work told him to stay away and keep his germs to himself!

Cam · 30/09/2005 15:45

'scuse me Twig but I did ask after you on the gym thread a few days ago because you said you were ill.

I can see from your descriptions below that it was a highly inappropraite thread to expect you to look at

At least won't have to work out so much when you're better now you're so slim though

puff · 30/09/2005 15:48

poor you twig - sounds bloody awful, hope you recover soon .

Twiglett · 30/09/2005 16:04

I lurve steroids .. they are my drug of choice

wild applause for steroids hurrah hurrah
