What was that?

DH and I were walking round the shops when I got the most strange and horrendous pain out of nowhere. It started above my neck and went down to my left breast. I also had what felt like a blockage in my throat for a bit. It did eventually pass but it was awful and dh was really worried. I felt quite spaced out for a while with the pain.

I recently was diagnosed with FM but I have had it for a while, as in years, without knowing and the only other thing is my ADs have been changed.

I don't think it is linked but my breasts have also been very painful around the nipple area on the inside and at times it felt like needles being jabbed in me.

Should I just take to my bed until Christmas?

ItalianLady · 05/12/2010 21:30

Thanks for replying.

Definitely didn't feel like a wind bubble and tbh I haven't had much at all in the last month since i have been losing weight.

You might have been right! Just a really incredible pain and very hard to describe.

i have had that pain if i take a bite of food and it gets stuck, but you weren't eating so it wouldn't be that.

FanjoForTheMincePies · 05/12/2010 21:49

could it have been an oesophageal spasm? google has a lot of info on those. sorry, am not a doctor, btw, obviously.

Are you breastfeeding?

FanjoForTheMincePies · 05/12/2010 22:11

also, of course you should get checked over by your GP after such severe pain.

ItalianLady · 06/12/2010 12:26

Hi

No, not breast feeding.

Had more discomfort in my breasts last night.

Will check out the spasm suggestion, thanks.
