Echinacea - does it go off

I found a tub of echinacea capsules (bought in a H&B multibuy offer, shoved to back of shelf). The "best before" date has passed. Are they still likely to be worth taking?

Yes, best before is just the recommendation. As long as they're not about a year out of date, they'll be fine.

I do find that only the best quality echinacea is worth getting so if they're capsules with 'fillers' in them and very old I wouldn't bother.
