I work with children and part of my job involves lifting children which kills my back, it is unavoidable but although I have anti inflamitries from the Dr it is still hurting. Is there anything I can do?

Ice pack for 10 mins when ever you sit down.

Never, ever lift and turn at the same time.

Have you been on a safe manual handling course? It might be worth asking your employer to send you on one.

Tone your tummy muscles...far easier said than done!

One tip I picked up was to put an ikea step stool into toddlers cots when getting them out. Ask them to stand on the step so you are not bedding to lift them.
