Should I be on this thread with you? I don't want to catch anything.

Lice Attack is brilliant. (Treatment)

crazydazy · 20/09/2005 21:48

LOL Spidermama

No not being with any other kids but usually DD gets them first and then the little blighters hop on my head!!! DP never ever gets them, he puts it down to all the gel he lathers on his head daily!!!

Have tried all sorts of lotions and potions and have forgotten the bloody name of the one we used which worked!!!

I read good things about hte Neal's Yard remedy.

Carla · 20/09/2005 22:23

sparkly, I remember that, but didn't read the outcome. Have you got the extentions back in again? I seem to remember they cost an effing fortune!

sparklymieow · 20/09/2005 23:14

No, I took it all out and my hair has grown enough to not have the system in anymore

janeybops · 21/09/2005 00:12

have you tried combing wiht conditioner every night for 2 weeks. that's how i got rid of mine!

waterfalls · 21/09/2005 00:13

The nitty gritty comb is fantastic,

crazydazy · 21/09/2005 11:17

You know when you have got them as your head is itchy!!! DD says her head hasn't been itching though so god knows how I have caught them!!!! Every time I wash my hair I check with the nit comb but I think I will get some Full Marks as I find thats the best lotion to use.

Thanks again everyone.

The nitty grity comb is fantastic, I use it on Ds every night, just in case, so far, so good.

SherlockLGJ · 21/09/2005 11:25

You know when you have got them as your head is itchy!!!

People must think I am riddled, I have exczema at the base of my skull, and I am constantly scratching.

gigglinggoblin · 21/09/2005 11:51

if you call your docotr or health visitor you can get a bug busting kit free on prescription. not sure if its the same as nitty gritty but saves using a load of expensive lotions which dont work half the time

spidermama · 21/09/2005 14:39

Another vote here for the nitty gritty comb. Also, Lice Attack is the only product I've found which actually works. (And believe me I've tried 'em all from Tea-tree hippy stuff to full on organo phosphates ).
With Lice Attack the lice come out DEAD. Mwahahahahaha! It's also very gentle. It's about suffocating them rather than poisoning them.

sparklymieow · 21/09/2005 14:41

tell me about lice attack please, just seen nits on dd2's hair again

waterfalls · 21/09/2005 20:06

Actually you can have head lice for upto 3 months before you start itching, well according to the experts.

flamesparrow · 21/09/2005 20:08

think this is the same as nitty gritty

Works wonders!!! All gone very quickly, with no treatments, just conditioner and combing.
