Pre eclampsia - how early can you get it?

anyone know? I have not been able to find any info in any books or on the web - just says usually develops later on in pregnancy.

I had it with DS1. Am now 15+2 preg with second child and had protein in my last urine test last week.

My midwife is on holiday for 2 weeks. The hospital midwife told me that you don't get pre eclampsia until the placenta has formed. Which is at 15 weeks.

It's bvery rare to get it that early I know, but I am pretty sure I have come across it at 20 weeks (used to work on a pre-eclampsia support line after having it with ds1)

APEC
pre-eclampsia support

or CAT me if you need a chat any time.

Ok. Sometimes it takes a few hours for me to get a CAT but I will reply as soon as it arrives, and I'll put my telephone number in it too, so you can call if you need a chat.

Take care- rest lots- that's very important and don't panic yet.
