DS has breathing problems, am worried

My DS has recently been diagnosed with diabetes, is bordering on obese, in the last week she cannot walk far and keeps running out of breath, feels heart pumping fast. Going to see GP today what questions must she ask, should she be given an ECG test, could it be something to do with being diabetic? Any advice appreciated.

Could you ask them to do asthma tests? check toleration of diabetic medication, ask for referral to a dietician to help manage diabetes if not already had this.
