Dragging feeling in lower stomach

I'm 50, going through the menopause and on HRT.
The last couple of months, instead of bleeding at the end of my tablets, I had a 4 week on and off period- thought I'd finished one day, but no two days later began again.
I've also had a feeling of dragging- like period pains, and am experiencing them now, only 2 weeks into the new packet of Elleste. Also quite bloated.
I had a smear today- and am planning a dr's appointment for next week.
Is this just hormones or god forbid, something more sinister?

The only time I've experienced the dragging feeling you describe is when pregnant. I assume that was ruled out before you started the HRT?

As I've been on it 18 months, it would be a hell of a pregnancy!!!!
It seems to have settled down now- but I'm off to the dr next week.
Thanks for replying.

Fibroid??????

I've just been told by my GP he thinks I have a fibroid and one of my symptoms is a draggy sensation, also bloating. I get very heavy periods which is the main reason I went to my GP. I'm getting referred for a scan now.

any urinary symptoms? a dragging pain/bloating is often present with a UTI.
