Teething and calpol

DS is teething at the moment, red hot cheeks, etc. Although symptoms seem to be less obvious now. He keeps waking up after about an hour and although is desperate to go back to sleep as he is nearly crawling out my arms to get into bed he won't settle bak to sleep. So he's had calpol only at night for the past 5 nights. I'm beginning to wonder if he's just after the calpol or it's becoming a habit of waking up. is 5 nights normalfor teething? btW ds is 18mths and hasn't really had much trouble with teeth until now with these final molars.

not sure what to advise as your DS is older than Jess but we have used Neurofen for 7-8 days running before because of teeth... she is 13 months.

I would try a little drink and a cuddle and back in the cot to see if that settles him - if not, you know its pain!

Yes the ,olars can take a long time to come through, my dts had 4 each coming through at the same time a while ago, and it lasted a week to 10 days.

Nurefen is great for it.

try calprofen, workd brillantly with my ds
and i double the does - alert alert ! - but then it might be 6hrs not 4hrs til i would give another dose,
ds was 7/8mths when i doubled as a the recommended amt did nothing. and it always works.
