Can an insect bite cause this?

A few weeks ago I got bitten on my leg by an insect (prob mosquito). It went reaally swollen and was raised and red to the size of a saucer.
It continued to get worse so I spoke to the Dr who gave me anti biotics and it went down. Can still see red areaa though where it was.

Earlier this week I got bitten on my back. Its in the centre of my back. It lookks exactly like a small normal bite but its very painful. Reallly hurts. I also have a bad aching pain all the way up from it to asround my neck and all the way down to the small of my back.

Can a bite cause this aching? Could I be allergic to insect bites??
Should I see a Dr even though it looks just like a normal bite?

I think you should definitely see a doctor. What country are you in to be getting these insect bites?
The thing on your back sounds more like shingles than a bite... make an appointment for tomorrow, it's better to get weird things checked out IME

Yes see your dr. My sister had a bite that was a lot like your first bite and ended up in theatre having it cleaned out! She has been very wary of bites ever since, and her house is well stocked in TCP.

Are you sure it wasn;t a tick bite - not to alarm you but Lymes disease is becoming more common in uk and has a bullseye type rash at bite. Easily sorted with antibiotics.

I would visit the GP asap to get this looked at further.
