baby teeth at 18

hi my dd has been to the dentists today ,and has to go to the hosp to have 4 teeth out ,as she wont have a needle i would not of though adults would still have there baby teeth ,poor lass is so scared has she hates anything to do whith the dentists !!

my sister still has baby teeth and she is 33!!

Poor thing having to have 4 out in one go. DS just lost his last baby tooth last year at 16 - for some reason it just wasn't getting any message to go, but it finally loosened and came out on its own. The dentist was starting to say he'd have to pull it if not though, as the adult tooth was going to cause problems if it didn't get the space to come through properly. Sympathy!

DH still has a baby tooth at 40 - for some reason it's not caused a problem with adult teeth, and the dentist is happy to leave it there.

I still have baby teeth at (almost) twice her age.

Where are they ? Are there adult teeth underneath ?

I was told I should have them out and refused (I was younger and my bro had just had a nasty extraction). I don't have adult teeth underneath so the baby ones have just hung o in (I had to have 1 extracted at 30 as the root did finally give up the ghost but you could never tell).

and she wants me to go with her too !!

I'm an old crone in my 40s and still have many babyteeth.

The condition (no/few second teeth) is hereditory through the female line.

I still have a baby tooth at 51! No tooth underneath to push it out. It's full of filling tho' so it's not great...

My FIL has a baby tooth and he is 70 next week. Causes much amusement with DTs (age 5)
