No cod, there isn't

marthamoo · 15/09/2005 20:44

All children need food, even if it's turkey twizzlers, or else they die?

Likewise air.

Parenting is fun at times, bloody hard work at others.

WideWebWitch · 15/09/2005 20:44

I meant no cod, we can't. (find any aspect of parenting we all agree on)

WideWebWitch · 15/09/2005 20:45

Well Moo, apparently we don't even agree that all children need water (see fizzy drink thread if you haven't already). But food, hmm, maybe. Turkey Twizzlers though, I'd probably rather let my child starve (JOKE).

marthamoo · 15/09/2005 20:46

I know that's not a joke really, www - I know you're all about the organic hand knitted muesli

WideWebWitch · 15/09/2005 20:47

Oh god, you've sussed me, it wasn't! I couldn't bring myself to do it! Ha ha, well and truly caught out

Katemum · 15/09/2005 20:47

Chilldren shouldn't be allowed to smoke?

WideWebWitch · 15/09/2005 20:48

But maybe it's their choice katemum and they should be allowed to make their own mistakes?

Katemum · 15/09/2005 20:50

aarrrggghhh

Katemum · 15/09/2005 20:50
Grin
charliecat · 15/09/2005 20:51

we wouldnt purposelly place our baby in car seat, unable to move away next to someone smoking a big fat joint...

Shades1 · 15/09/2005 20:53

that our children sometimes say the cutest things that REALLY make us laugh

e.g. DS 5.4 mum what does suppernanny look like ?
mum: she's a woman with dark hair and wears glassess
DS: does she wear a cloak ?

nell12 · 15/09/2005 21:00

that although sometimes we don't like our kids very much, we ALWAYS love them

Monstersmum · 15/09/2005 21:07

That it's harder than we thought it would be?

Twiglett · 15/09/2005 21:09

that when all's said and done we wouldn't trade being a mum for not being one (on a permanent basis)

marthamoo · 15/09/2005 21:09

Well said , twigs (despite my truly crap day!)

snafsicle · 15/09/2005 21:10

That black clothes are a waste of washing powder in the early snot-tastic years?

saadia · 15/09/2005 21:16

That it's important to read to them from a very young age..

steffee · 15/09/2005 21:31

No matter how hard we try, we will always lose their socks somehow, probably about 3 a week.

unicorn · 15/09/2005 21:37

..that children always want us, when we are just about to release our long suffering bowels.

sansouci · 15/09/2005 21:39

you spend more evenings in than out.

Mum2girls · 15/09/2005 21:40

unicorn - how true is that?

WideWebWitch · 15/09/2005 21:56

That Kate Moss is a silly tart? I think I might have found something we all agree on! Does anyone want to defend her?

unicorn · 15/09/2005 21:58

Kate Moss is someones daughter www...
Surely she is just misunderstood, and the media show her worst side?
I'm sure she is an angel.

WideWebWitch · 15/09/2005 22:05

Hmm, and you really are a unicorn
