Shingles

A colleague of DP's has got shingles and rang to ask him if he'd had chickenpox (he has).

He is, however, coming into work tomorrow- does he pose any risk to DD (2) who hasn't had chicken pox (can it be passed on by proxy?) or the public at large? Should he be going into work?

as long as the shingles rash is covered then it is unlikely to pass on chicken pox to anyone else - it is passed by direct contact with the fluid from the blisters.

shingles treatment - see box at right hand side

Brilliant, thanks. Having a PFB moment, I think Smile
