poor health in the days before period, getting worse

for the last 6 months or so, I have been getting really run down in the days before my period - small cold sores around mouth, headaches, thrush, and often feeling overwhelmed by everything. am 39 and had DS2 3 and a half years ago.

I have a reasonable diet, but am about 2 stone over weight. other than that very healthy (just had blood, thyroid, etc tests and all came up good)

does this ring a bell with anyone? any idea what it might be/ successful way of dealing with it?

I was recommended Evening Primrose Oil for PMS: start taking it about 10 days before yr period and then stop when yr period starts. Might help.

I'm 37 and have noticed myself getting much more tired and weak the couple of days prior to my period starting. Would be nice to find a cure as it is starting to interfere with life!
