Post-episiotomy/forceps "tone"- a question

For those of you who have had an episiotomy and an instrumental birth, did you find that vaginal "tone" was not what it was? Did it ever get back to what it was?

Question comes from the fact that when periods restarted after birth I have found tampons go "wandering" and sometimes end up horizontal (i.e. at 90 degrees to the vaginal wall), which is very uncomfortable Blush. Am wondering whether others have found this and what do to? Am wary of going to the GP and being told "after childbirth, what did you expect"...

Have namechanged for obvious reasons...

I had DD 2.5 years ago and had episiotomy and forceps delivery. It certainly isn't the same down there - I just find tampons a bit uncomfortable and that even the superplus ones don't stay put for as long as they used to or rather they seem to move down when they never used to. Otherwise haven't noticed a huge amount of difference and it does seem to have got slightly better over time.

I think if it bothers you it would be a good idea to discuss with your GP. Even if it is obvious to them it is not obvious to you and at least you would have the fact rather then possibly suffering unecessarily in silence. There may be something they can recommend.
