Aching all over after sick bug?

I had some sort of sickness bug yesterday, thought it was something I'd eaten until after I was sick and went hot and shivery. I went to bed early and woke up feeling much better this morning, but as the day has gone on, I feel more and more tired and achey, it's kind of like an electric shock feeling all through my body and even my finger joints hurt!

Has anyone else had this? Any idea how long it lasts? I feel so bad for my DC, half term and we're stuck in!

Yes I just had it.

It was the weirdest thing ever. I started being sick late on Saturday at 11pm and I didn't stop until Sunday morning at about 8am. It was horrendous and I didn't get more than an hours sleep all night.

I too was hot and shivery, i had pins and needles in my hands and feet and i was achey all over.

I finally felt ok enough to eat a proper meal today. So the washed out tired feeling lasted a while.

I had it earlier this year and felt I was going to die. Went to bed for 2 days, terrible diarrhea for almost a week and took another week to get over it really. I couldn't get warm in bed even with hottie bottle, dressing gown, duvet etc etc.
it takes time.

Thanks both, isn't it horrendous? I've not had any sickness since Monday night, but feel like death warmed up. I feel better today than I have and need to go and get bread & milk but am dreading going out!

Oh well, I've lost a couple of lbs Wink

Hope you're both back to normal soon - purple, I know what you mean about the getting warm thing, I was freezing the other night and now I'm alternating between having hot flushes and wrapping up in a blanket!
