Getting scared

Bit of background. Period was a few days late and got a weak positive test result. Then later got a negative. I figured it had been a CP and I would start bleeding within a couple of days. It didn't.

I have been to GP and he said he thought I was pregnant and had a urine sample sent away. This has been delayed coming back so today I did another home test which was negative again. But still no bleeding. (15days now).

Can't get an appointment for a week. I am now worrying about all the possible causes and their potential to get worse while waiting.

Do you mean you're 15 days late? It might be that the hormone levels haven't built up enough yet to register, that seems to happen sometimes judging by some experiences on here. It must be really horrible waiting, why was the test result delayed? Have they told you when you can expect to be told? I wish I could reassure you more. I think as long as you have no bleeding, it can only be a good thing! Maybe try another brand of home test. Hope you get result soon.

Sorry I didn't reply last night dd woke up with a nightmare and took a while to settle.

Yes I mean 15 days late. Was supposed to get results Wednesday. All they said was they're not back yet must be delayed.

How frustrating for you. Phone and hassle them, and try another brand of test. I hope you get some good news really soon.

Try one of the early predictor ones. I used a bog standard one from Boots which was negative when it should have shown clearly. Ashamed to say I went out drinking and dancing that night as thought I was not pregnant. Got a more expensive brand and tested 2 days later and it was positive. Was convinced sore boobs and achey thighs had to mean something(!) Good luck and I hope you hear soon.

I'm so sorry to hear that xwithch. How strange and worrying for you to have confused results at first. I know what it is like to not feel listened to or taken seriously by GP. When you say things not going away, do you mean physically? Have you had any bleeding? If your concerns remain after a few days then go back and see a different doc if possible.

I mean no bleeding at all so the original products of conception are still there even though it is not growing. Confused

Hope you are ok. I have heard of a situation similar to this where a friend was told she was pregnant with twins, but one unfortunately didn't thrive past a certain point, and the tiny thing got sort of reabsorbed into everything else that was going on. It might be that your next period will be a heavier one. It might be worth you reposting with a more direct subject title in the conception topic header, and I expect there will more more people there to give you some comfort and support. You won't be the only one to have experienced something like this. Take care of yourself
