Hi all,
I'm almost 30wks pregnant. Have just had a text from good friend to say that some kids who were visiting her just under 2 weeks ago have all got the chicken pox. Fortunately for me, I wasn't free to visit the family who were visiting her but she is worried that her DD has caught it and is now waiting for a call from NHS direct to know what to do.
I have since seen her DD twice - if she has chicken pox could i have it???? I had chicken pox when i was 21yrs old.

Hope i make sense, waffling, worried...

If you haven't been in contact with her dd for the few days prior to any spots coming out then you can't get it. Even so you should have immunity. I was 24 weeks is when ds had it and gp told me not to worry.

Thanks LizS, I've been sitting here in a panic.
Hopefully nothing to worry about then

DS1 had it when I was pregnant with DS2. I rang NHS direct and they said it was nothing to worry about (I had it when I was younger).
