Not well and need to get this sorted

Hi all

I haven't felt well for quite a long time now with a range of 'symptoms' - I put it down to stress after a hellish few years of DV etc. But that is all behind me now, and the symptoms are still here.
I get woken at night with pain in my hip
It takes me ages to get up to a standing position in the mornings because of pain and stiffness in my back.
Walking downstairs is agony as my ankles don't seem to want to work.
With the cold weather coming I have excrutiating pain in my knee, which has recently spread to my elbow and shoulder.
I am debilitated by tiredness, I mean absolute exhaustion, to the point where I am doubtful I can even drag myself to DD's school to pick her up (only a 2 min walk).
Now I have pain in 2 random places - one is my thigh and other is underside of upper arm (so not joint).
I went through a 6 month period of insomnia, but since end Aug I have been sleeping ok, however for the last 2 nights I am having trouble sleeping again.
Any ideas?
Thanks

I think you should book a double appt with your G.P.
Lat out your symptoms exactly as you have here.

They'll likely do some physical examination, ask further questions and probably order some tests.

Probably the best first step to getting sorted.

Go and see your GP. There are a huge number of conditions that could cause your symptoms, from a hormone imbalance to depression to some forms of arthritis. All of them can be treated but your GP can't treat your symptoms if she doesn't know about them!

Print out what you've written here if it'll make it easier for you - it's a really clear description that any GP would find useful.

Good luck
