Limping daughter

Help! My dd (2.3) woke up this morning and was absolutely fine. 10 minutes later she was wanting to be carried everywhere or would only crawl and basically refusing to walk. When we got her to walk with me and dh holding either hand, she was limping. There is no sign of anything externally, and she has not had a fall/bump. I am so confused by it, and really worried. She has had no other symptoms.
Thanks

doctor?

Sexonlegs · 12/09/2005 17:52

Haven't been to the docs as yet; thought she had perhaps slept on it strangely or something. If it's no better by tomorrow a.m. then yes we will be off to the GP.

Thanks Trefusis. She has had a cold and chesty cough that has dragged on for some time (better now), so perhaps you have hit the nail on the head.

When I ask her if anything is sore, she says no though, and usually if there is something sore, we know about it!!

nope nothing went to gp there sending him to to see sombody, but i wish i took him to a&e because still limping but not as bad

LIZS · 12/09/2005 18:28

trefusis , sounds similar to what a Swiss dr referred to as a "hip cold" in dd. She was prescribed some anti inflammatory painkillers and was fine 48 hours later.

started this thread got more replys have a look

Chat : what do you think i should do?

Sexonlegs · 12/09/2005 18:57

Thanks Trace. My dad (mum and dad looking after dd today as nursery closed due to really bad sick bug would you believe) says this afternoon that dd said her leg was feeling better and was walking and even running on it! Then seemingly she would remember that it was sore and whinge a bit!

I am going to see how she is tomorrow and then take her to the docs on Wednesday if still playing up.

I hope your little lad is ok. x
