Still tired after surgery

Had a repair job done on r breast after reconstructive surgery in 2004 - breast implant ruptured! Had the surgery on Tuesday and despite it being relatively minor surgery in the scheme of things, I still feel bushed!

My parents went home to Glasgow this morning [they came down last weekend to look after me - I live in Southern England] and my DH is working all the hours God sends. Kids are OK - old enough to do their own thing and let me sleep most of the time. Just want to get up and go now!!

Didn't get much post-op advice from hospital so don't really know what to expect. Am also working, but have sorted out to work at home for next 2 weeks [kids are off school too for their half-term! What fun!].

Just need an e-hug really! :(

Hi, don't worry as that is entirely normal, it may take 3 weeks before you feel almost back to normal and sometimes after a hysterectomy it can be getting on for six months. You will feel particularly tired in the afternoon so it is really sensible of you to be working from home for a while. You WILL get back to normal however, it just may take a little while.Smile
