Hi, I'm new to mumsnet, and not that good on computers either, but my 3 year old son has just been diagnosed with ITP, which manifests itself in abnormal bruising, and bleeding, his platelets are low with a count of 27, a child normally has between 150 -400! I was wondering if anyone else has been through this, and if anyone could recommend a paediatric hematology consultant - prehaps from personal experience, or just some everyday practical advice! He's the baby in our family of 4 children, and an absolute livewire and daredevil. so I am having kittens everytime he moves! Our second son also suffers from aspergers so we need keep all his usual routines going and obviously make sure the other two dont feel neglected either! help! We live in the North West of England by the way!
