Anyone had a k wire removed ?

They are due to pull the one in my hand out this afternoon, and although the Dr's tell me it won't hurt, I can't quite believe that something that has been stuck in my bone for 8 weeks is going to pop out painlessly.

So, tell me, are they telling the truth ?

It hurt - quite a bit. But it was over quickly.

Picking the dry skin off my arm is bliss though !
