Like I said to you before saf, It's much easier when you know there is homemade stuff in the freezer you can bung in the oven. Smile

BitterAndTwistedGoreDodger · 14/10/2010 16:41

I need to pick DH up from work in a minute. I 'forgot' to return the car after borrowing it earlier. Blush

ThePumpkinofDoomandTotalChaos · 14/10/2010 16:50

hello all. had another unaccustomed day of not-work and not-overtime, so met my mum, bought a handbag (debs sale) and saw the bienniale at the tate. couldn't spot DS's boat though (DS did a boat as part of big ensemble exhibit by an Australian artirst). The biennial exhibition was interesting but a bit frustration - although the theme was touched - not everything was interactive, and some of the exhibits would have been more interesting as interactives.

desiretochange · 14/10/2010 16:55

I will not have a take away tonight, found a recipe for crispy bacon pasta, going to try it when I get home, fingers crossed I don't make a mess of it and end up phoning for a pizza Hmm

YouKnowNothinoftheMonsterMunch · 14/10/2010 17:15

A day to myself and what do I do? Write! Haven't done that in ages! :)

Anyone fancy a read? here

Sorry you didn't see your ds's boat, tc, but how cool is that! Fantastic.

BitterAndTwistedGoreDodger · 14/10/2010 17:30

Fabulous story UNO, really well written. Smile

YouKnowNothinoftheMonsterMunch · 14/10/2010 17:34

Thanks bitter, I wrote it for my 12 year old, so not sure it's grown up enough for all us mature individuals :)

YouKnowNothinoftheMonsterMunch · 14/10/2010 17:35

I really really like your name btw

I hope I get a prize for longest OP ever!

HammerMouseOfHorrors · 14/10/2010 17:56

Hey.

I'm back from doom ville.

Been to get my ears lowered, and it looks nice. If not mostly grey!!

The doc has doubled my meds and wants me to go back in 2 weeks.

Town was a nightmare. I felt so 'stuck out' like everyone was looking at me.

Gha.

Bitter - glad DS has had a better day, I was worried about him xx

UNO - great name!

Doubledouble, love yours too.

Lasagne here. Home made from scratch including all the sauces.

It's dark here. The fire is about to be lit for the first time since last winter.

It's cold and damp and Nemo is still puking.

HammerMouseOfHorrors · 14/10/2010 17:58

Sorry UNO - fab story, my kind of thing. Love stuff like that. I might share my stories one day.

Off to bath Nemo, feed DD, make her lunch and avoid MrM.

He keeps asking me what's up, what's wrong, why am I so fed up.

Help me.

I've got nothing to say. He asks for a list of what's bothering me but I have nothing... I draw a blank. Sad

agree with double. also - it's not just the practical issues of having a child with health/additional needs - there's the emotional issues - isolation/fear for the future, sometimes its hard to keep that gritted smile pasted on your face!

but from the practical point of view - more sleep and takeaways and less chores would hardly go amiss.

YouKnowNothinoftheMonsterMunch · 14/10/2010 18:18

Ooh

BitterAndTwistedGoreDodger · 14/10/2010 18:18

Mouse, cut yourself some slack, agree with doubles post.

My Toad in the hole will be more toad in a blanket. Bloody yorkshire pudding won't rise. Humph.

You guys are so nice. I never see it like you all do..... it's my job, I'm his mum and his carer.

Munch - I'd love to come see you and put the world in it's place!! Can you imagine the mess we'd get into!!! Grin

YouKnowNothinoftheMonsterMunch · 14/10/2010 18:26

It would be a beautiful mess mousey! Possibly also involving vomit. But the right kind of vomit :o

You're always welcome :)
