Second degree tear - stitches

Hi,

I'm 12 weeks post partum now and have had all my check up but occasionally the area where my stitches wre bleeds a little.

I didn't have an internal exam or anything at my 6 week check up with the doctor as I'd had sex and the doctor said as long as I wasn't in any pain it wasn't necessary.

I'm not overly concerned by the bleeding, but all my stitches should have healed by now? I don't know whether to go back to the doctors or whether to just leave it for a bit longer?

I didn't have stitches, but I had a tiny little tear, and whenever I'd poo it would open a little bit and bleed a little. Nothing major. It healed itself after about 8 weeks in total, so perhaps more for you if you have stitches. Salt water is said to be good for hurrying the process up a little bit.
