My tummy is bloated and although I know I have put weight on due to comfort eating I ahve put it on differently to usual!

I am sorry that I didn't see this earlier...

MN is funny that way lately. I would highly recommend a more controversial title because the oldies LOVE to chat for ages with and about trolls!

I am afraid that my miscarriage experiences do not include being bloated but I would certainly speak to your GP about it. Do you think that you may be about to start AF and that it is going to be heavy or are you worried about something more along the lines of an infection? Do you have any other symptoms?

How are you feeling emotionally? Probably not great about getting no response to your plea for help... Once again, sorry for not seeing this earlier.

Thanks! Have been getting bigger since m/c. But my period has started and is extremely heavy, so maybe this is getting rid of whatever is still there?! I am prone to put weight on easily but it is so high up that I dont think it is just fat!!!
I wasnt told to go to gp's for a check afterwards or anything. Should i ?

Hello, sorry to hear about your miscarriageI had one in February. I definitely did feel very bloated after mineI worked out, though, that it was a side effect of the antibiotics I'd been given as a preventative measure after the operation.

mumtosomeone · 09/09/2005 21:38

Had no opp or ant biotics!
Maybe it will go down soon?

Hopefully the start of your period will help to sort things out. I am really sorry that you have to go through more discomfort and misery after your miscarriage. It just doesn't seem reasonable, does it?

Hope you are sound asleep and that you wake up feeling much better.

I had a possible m/c in July. I say possible because I never had a bfp but was late, had all the symptoms, etc. and just felt really sure that I was - until about 10 hours before the bleeding started.

Anyway, had put on a few pounds and felt bloated and miserable for a bit. Things got better after about 2 periods. HTH

How are you feeling todayÉ

Arabica · 10/09/2005 22:14

Do hope you are feeling a little better today, let us know how you are if you feel up to it.

So sorry to hear about your mc, and that you didn't get a faster response to your post - I don't get onto the site every day. I had a mc a few months back, at about 2 and a half months, and ws surprised that I didn't instantly return to my slender figure (humm). It is now two months/periods later and I think my hormones and everything has settled down to how it was, just slightly older and wiser.

Hope that everything starts to return to normal.

Enid · 11/09/2005 13:38

Sorry to hear about your m/c.

It is quite normal for pg hormones to make you retain water in the first couple of months. Unfortunately the hormones don't dissipate immediately after a m/c so it is quite likely that it is water retention - drink loads of water.

Have you had a scan to make sure everything has gone?
