Sweaty baby.

My 7 month old is the sweatiest baby I've ever come across. He's very active (at the climbing stairs and sprint crawling stage), but still....
He always looks like he's been playing sport for the past hour, with damp hair (or rather fluff) sticking to his forehead, and clammy to the touch.

Has anyone else got a sweaty baby?

my baby seems to sweat under her right arm (?) and she has a very red sore patch at the moment
She's 6 months and not crawling , or even rolling tbh, can't be bothered!

Mine's more clammy all over.

DD is now 3 and has always been a sweaty baby/toddler.

Yep, sweaty baby here too, especially has sweaty feet and that with his feet bare or just socks on!

my 12 month old ds has been sweating profusely at night for quite a while now. In the car seat or in bed his hair is always soaking wet. I don't know if it is significant at all, but he doesn't seem unwell with it.

I was really getting worried about my 5 month - till I read all of your notes! My other 2 kiddies never sweated like this one does!
His feet are permenantly dripping. The car seat/buggy is always wet. It is a bit concerning though. I am sure it isn't normal!!! Hey ho! Roll on stinky teenage socks!

I came on here to ask the same question! My 10month old gets really hot hands and feet and sweaty all around his head in the evening, but he seems fine health-wise. I was going to ask if I should be worried, but if there are other sweaty babies out there then Im glad we're not alone!

My ds was constantly sweaty from about 1 year on. He is 2.7 now. I asked the doctor and he said he sweats to get "rid" of toxins in his body. (he has a compromised immune system. This isnt to worry any of you. But its good that babies sweat. If they didnt it would be a worry. I watched a program a few years back. It showed athletes trying to keep up with babies. The adults had to mirror every movement of the toddlers. They couldnt do it for more than 10 minutes!! The energy children have is, as you know, quite unbelievable and has to cause them to sweat. Maybe they have higher temps than we do too.

This is my favourite thread title.
My DS is sweaty and always has a warm head.
